Some may remember Dimitra from our July 2005 program (Spiritual Astrology Goes to the Movies), which was one of our most informative, popular, and successful programs.
We are pleased and honored that Dimitra has agreed to join us again!
In this program, Dimitra will discuss the spirituality of the brotherhood of man and how it is called for at this present time given the planetary configurations.
As for the Lincoln in the title of the program, Dimitra will use incidents from the life of Abraham Lincoln to demonstrate:
-The importance of loving our fellow man;
-The need for across the board civility;
-The need for a level playing field;
-The importance of freedom and independence.
The evening promises to be one of fruitful contemplation for those endeavoring to manifest their Light, and create art that is spiritually informed.

-Explain the metaphor of the Light in relation to the process of Enlightenment;
-Share his understanding of Enlightenment and how the effects and benefits of Enlightenment are integrated in our daily life;

Join veteran Hollywood producer and Spiritual Cinema pioneer Stephen Simon for an interactive weekend of seminars designed to inspire and empower spiritual cinema enthusiasts, established and emerging industry professionals and students to create and appreciate spiritual entertainment.
Stephen Simon is the co-founder and President of The Spiritual Cinema Circle, the niche DVD home delivery subscription service and President of the non-profit organization, ISE, The Institute for Spiritual Entertainment.
Stephen's book "The Force is With You -Mystical Movie Messages That Inspire Our Lives" calls for recognition of a new film genre - Spiritual Cinema.

Thursday, June 9th - 7:30-10:00pm* - "Mystical Movie Messages That Inspire Our Lives" Public talk with Stephen Simon
Join us for an evening of engaging presentation and discussion of Stephen's perspective on the nature of contemporary cinema and the direction of what he calls Spiritual Cinema or Mystical Movies. During this inspirational, informative, and fun evening, Stephen passionately explains that there is a genre called Spiritual Cinema (which he distinguishes from Religious Cinema) that has yet to be recognized by mainstream Hollywood, explores the state of the movie business-where it was, where it is now and where it's going... and shows film clips from several of the films in this genre.
*All are welcome.
Friday, June 10th - 6:30pm-11:55pm - ISE-NY Mini-Film Festival & Reception
ISE-NY hosts a reception and mini-film festival of spiritual short films and a feature film.Attendees are encouraged to mix and mingle during the reception and enjoy refreshments and food provide. The screenings will be preceded by an introduction by Stephen Simon and followed by a Q & A.
Saturday, June 11th - 9am - 5pm - "Spiritual Filmmaking 101: Insights & Intrigue"
ISE-NY presents a unique opportunity for participants to attend an all day in depth interactive workshop on Spiritual Cinema with Stephen Simon. The workshop is designed for established and emerging industry professionals (e.g. actors, writers, directors and producers) and film students who wish to advance their understanding of the entertainment industry and their role within the genre of Spiritual Cinema. Stephen will share his insights into and challenges of the industry, filmmaking, story development and distributing your project. Participants should bring projects they are developing, such as a scene from a script, act from a play or chapter from a book, to workshop with the group. ISE-NY will provide breakfast.
Space is limited to 25 participants.
Sunday, June 12th - 10am - 1pm - Interactive Pitch Fest.
Stephen Simon will moderate an informative discussion among a panel of prestigious figures in spiritual entertainment about the art of pitching. Participants may pitch ideas and receive constructive feedback.

She is a cofounder and the attorney for the nonprofit organization The Institute for Spiritual Entertainment, Inc. and for ISE-NY, Inc. After serving 4 years in the Business & Legal Affairs department at New Line Cinema, Cynthia now devotes her practice to spiritual entertainment clients and recently established a private practice Cynthia R. Dave Baugnon offered insight, inspiration and instruction on crafting the screenplay idea into a script. David teaches screenwriting in New York at Writers Boot Camp and the Pratt Institute. His feature script, Code of Ethics, was optioned to Thousand Yard Films in November of 2001. |
